JANUARY 16th, 2018:
Scattered eyes, scattered minds, racing for a seat.
Cityscapes blur, sounds fade;
Momentum slows weighted by monotony pervading through the space;
Sensations go unnoticed as my daydreams circle once more.
Lost in the moment, a connection electrifies through my body.
Quickened rhythms beat to the tapping foot of my soul.
The energy rises matching the tempo — my soul flawlessly matching the dance.
Rhythmic beats hit harder and harder — pulsing —
Until my stop approaches.
Awoken in the depth to a chime of the train bell,
My eyes flash open, straight into those of a stranger… and he whispers,
“Oh, how our souls could have danced…”
Beautiful poem.
